Under the name Sumrall Distributing, Douglas L. Sumrall began distributing gasoline and diesel in Palestine, Texas, in 1982. As propane cylinders complemented his gasoline and diesel operations, he expanded into the propane business in 1994.
His full-service, family-owned propane gas company was established two years later, servicing Palestine and its surrounding communities in Anderson, Houston, and Southwestern Henderson Counties.
